How to Book

Offbeat producer Iain McKinna only takes on a very small number of projects each year, working with artists whose music resonates with his style, a blend of acoustic and electronic elements. There is no availability for new production projects in 2025. Applications are now being accepted for 2026 onwards.

Before applying, please note:
• Music production costs are separate from studio time.
• Royalties are only taken if a record deal is secured. Otherwise a production fee would need to be agreed.
• If Iain contributes original music to your project, we would negotiate a publishing share.

To be considered, every project must begin with the application form below. Please make sure you:

Listen to the playlist to understand Iain’s production style. Provide a demo or reference tracks. Outline your budget, timeline, and promotion plans.

Only complete applications will be reviewed.

Don't worry about the quality of your demo. But Iain would need to hear your ideas even at an embryonic level. If you need music to lyrics send references/links.

SESSION PLAYERS

Iain plays various instruments to accompany your music if required.. (Guitar/Bass/Drums and Keyboards/Synths. Let us know what instrument(s) you play and if you require any session players.

TIMELINE

Give us full details of when you want to record with Offbeat. Our schedule is very busy at the studio so it may be several months before we can start recording.
